Lauren Nelson
Lawton, Oklahoma

Lauren at the age 20, a native of Oklahoma and a student at the University of Central Oklahoma captured the title of Miss America in Las Vegas. She continues to promote her personal platform of Protecting Children on the Internet. Her scholastic ambition is to obtain a Master's Degree in Musical Theatre. Lauren is an advocate for keeping kids safe on the internet and has partnered with child advocate, John Walsh to educate parents, children and teachers on how to become more aware of the dangers that children face on the internet. Lauren also worked with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and worked to produce a special show for America's Most Wanted that aired nationally to promote awareness on this issue.
