Scholastic Ambition: To obtain Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Communication with the intention of utilizing my degrees to become a prominent news anchor.

Secret Wish or Dream: I want to travel to every country in the world.

My Proud Accomplishment: Since I began participating in HuskyTHON, a year-long fundraiser at UConn for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, we have doubled our yearly fundraising total. This year, as Co-Executive Director, we are on the road to $1,000,000, For The Kids.

Bio: Eliza is most inspired by the kids she met at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center – they are her “why.” As a patient at Connecticut Children’s when she was 12 months old, she dedicates her time as a titleholder making sure patients feel like the princesses and superheroes they are. Having grown up in the Miss America Organization, Eliza has been mentored by numerous Miss Connecticut titleholders, and to finally join the sisterhood is truly a dream. She is Connecticut born and raised (Go Huskies!), but spent her summers growing up in Mississippi (Go Dawgs!). What makes her feel most lucky is coming from a family rooted in love.
