Scholastic Ambition: To obtain a bachelor’s degree in human physiology and become a physician’s assistant.

Secret Wish or Dream: To return to the Give Kids the World Village in Orlando, FL, which provides cost-free vacations to families with children who have life-threatening illnesses, but this time while volunteering as a Disney princess.

My Defining Moment: I endured several sports injuries that led me to continuously go from doctor to doctor seeking a diagnosis, however, I finally found a surgeon who was willing to commit to exploratory surgery and ultimately, solve my tedious injury. It was a time that taught me resilience and it solidified my desire to enter the medical field.

Bio: Traveling as the co-chapter leader of a medical mission organization in Nicaragua, Maddie learned that gifting her gifts not only impacted the recipient’s life, but also hers. As Miss America, Maddie will promote volunteerism on a national platform to build a stronger generation of serving individuals. She has reached out to local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals to compile a national database of approved patient’s stories that will be brought into schools nationwide. These unique stories will be presented as they collaborate to design a “Gifting Game Plan.” This unifying effort will have an unfathomable outcome that will inspire youth to “gift their gift.”
