My Defining Moment: September 13, 2010: the day I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I learned my purpose and it inspired me make a difference in other people’s lives as well as make healthy, responsible decisions in my own.

Bio: Cheyenne Buyert was raised on a ranch in Wyoming with small-town Christian values that have taught her to be loyal, respectful, and hard-working. With a passion for educating others about her autoimmune disorder, Type 1 Diabetes, she has become a motivated young entrepreneur, diligent student, and positive role model in her state. As Miss America 2018, she aspires to humbly, dutifully, and gracefully represent the Miss America Organization; work in accordance with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to promote their cause along with her personal platform; and encourage the growth of mentorship, volunteering, and service projects as a method of unity throughout the nation.
