Ryan Brown

Ryan Brown marks his 29th year as an Agent with the ADR Agency, Hawaii’s leading model and talent agency representing models and talent in Hawaii, L.A. and throughout the Northwest, U.S. Licensed with the SAG and AFTRA, Brown services productions and ad campaigns locally, nationally and internationally. His expertise has allowed him to partner with global brands, including a six year stint as head of Wilhelmina’s Hawaii operation (part of global agency-Wilhemina Models) between 2008 and 2014.

His involvement with Miss America started as a volunteer on the local level as a Local Director in 1991. In 2003, Brown joined the Miss Hawaii committee and began a two year succession plan. In 2005 he was named Executive Director for Miss Hawaii mid year and has served in this position until 2016 when he initiated a succession plan for new leadership and transitioned to the position of Co-Executive Director with longtime Hawaii volunteer Blaine Ikaika Dutro.

Brown is married to Mandy Thronas-Brown, together they have two daughters, Agnes (19) and Emily (16). Together, the Brown Ohana (family) is very busy with community volunteering and is also very active in their Church. In addition to leading the Miss Hawaii Organization, Brown also serves as the Head of the Hawaii Jurisdiction of the Knights of Columbus with over 2500 members in Hawaii and American Samoa.
