Barbara has a long career as a registered Financial Advisor serving her clients for over 35 years. Her profession began in New York City and currently works from her home office in Absecon, New Jersey.

As the former Mayor of the Village of Greenwood Lake, New York, Barbara secured alternative funding to finance numerous community projects, ensuring economic vitality, viability and ongoing prosperity for her community. She initiated and maintained close communications with local, county, state and federal agencies, developed and implemented multiple environmental improvements for the lake community which received state and national recognition. Barbara was selected from more than 600 Mayors in the State of New York to be one of eleven members of the New York Conference of Mayors Executive Committee.

A native of Atlantic County, New Jersey, Barbara has been both a participant and supporter of the Miss America program as a contestant, judge, producer and director of numerous competitions and scholarship programs within the Miss America Organization system since 1972.
