Uncasville, CT (December 10, 2019) – The Miss America Organization (MAO) is pleased to announce that The Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Dakota State University (DSU) has pledged their support. MAO’s mission of preparing great women for the world and the world for great women will be advanced by DSU’s funding of a new, $5000 scholarship. This cash award, which is open to all 51 candidates, is given by Dakota State University to broaden recognition of the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics

The granting of this scholarship will be based on a writing sample prepared by each candidate during the week of the competition. A panel will judge the essays and the winner will be announced at the Miss America Tribute Show on Tuesday, December 17th at the Mohegan Sun Cabaret Theatre.
