Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2023, Morgan Greco, takes center stage.
Meet Morgan
Morgan Greco was born and raised in Clark County, Washington and is the daughter of Mark Greco and Rose Weithas. Morgan is a junior in high school where she is currently enrolled in her school’s DECA and theater programs. She first discovered the MAOTeen program in September of 2018 when she registered for the Miss Clark County’s Outstanding Teen 2019 Competition. She competed in the Outstanding Teen program for three years before earning the title of Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen, including participating in the Miss America Empower Academy camp.
At MAOTeen’s National Competition in Dallas, TX in August 2022, Morgan astounded the judges with her operatic performance, receiving a talent award and a $1,000 scholarship. She went on to win the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2023. With $53,000 in scholarships from Miss America’s Outstanding Teen program, Morgan plans to pursue a degree in operatic performance as well as marketing.
Being able to perform my art, and win awards and scholarships as a result of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Competition is an amazing opportunity that I wish more girls knew about.
Empowerment Starts with Me
Morgan’s social impact initiative encourages young women to empower themselves with self-defense skills to feel more prepared for unforeseen and potentially dangerous circumstances.
“My first step towards self-empowerment was to enroll in a self-defense course to assess my strength and untapped physical potential,” said Morgan. ”Through this, I developed a stronger sense of mental and physical strength and feel well prepared to protect myself should the need arise.”
Morgan is currently a 4-year martial arts student in Krav Maga, an Israeli military martial art. Her goal as MAOTeen 2023 is to share her social impact initiative with other young women and increase the accessibility of self-defense programs.”
