Secret Wish or Dream: I’ve always really wanted to be a voice actor for cartoons. I love the idea of creating a character entirely with your voice and watching it come to life with animation.

My Defining Moment: In 2016, I had the opportunity to perform on Broadway in Kristin Chenoweth’s “My Love Letter to Broadway.” It was a lifelong dream come true for me and it taught me that with hard work and persistence no dream is unattainable.

Bio: Taylor Rey couldn’t be more excited to represent New Mexico at the 2018 Miss America Competition, and she is even more excited to have the opportunity to promote her platform “P.L.A.Y: Promoting a Love of Art in Youth.” Taylor was fortunate enough to grow up onstage studying music, theater, and dance. Performing has taught her innumerable life lessons, including practice makes perfect, self-discipline, and empathizing with people and cultures entirely different from her own. She has made it her life’s goal to continue to bring joy to the lives of the audience and to ensure all students enjoy their right to an arts education!
