My Defining Moment: At the age of 10, I took a family trip to Newport, RI and told my parents I wanted to attend Salve Regina University. 11 years later I graduated from Salve with a B.A. in Administration of Justice and 4 years of unforgettable memories in one of the most historic cities in Rhode Island.

Bio: Nicolette’s platform, “Be the Match: The National Bone Marrow Registry,” has a deep personal connection as she lost both her Nana and Papa to cancer and had a scare with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma herself. She joined the registry and within a few months was called as a match. The day after her 21st birthday, she donated over 360 million cells to save a stranger in another country. She finally received an update and her match is healthy! As a young girl, Nicolette remembers sitting on the couch every September and watching Miss America with her family. Now, she has the opportunity to represent her family, community, and “Be the Match.” She believes serving as Miss America will help her voice reach a national level. Not only is she the “perfect match” for Be the Match, but also for the Miss America Organization as well.
