100th Anniversary Miss America Competition

It’s finally here! The Miss America Organization is thrilled to announce that our 100th Anniversary Competition will be held on Thursday, December 16th at Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut!

The 51 outstanding young women vying for the job of Miss America will begin their competition week on Sunday, December 12th with the first evening of preliminary competition followed by round two of preliminary competition on Monday, December 13th.

The week continues with anniversary events on Tuesday and Wednesday and wraps up with the final night of competition on Thursday, December 16. Scroll down to see all the amazing events we have planned and to purchase your tickets.

If you have ADA needs, the box office will be happy to assist you. ADA tickets will be buy one, get one free, so that your companion may sit with you. Please note, the fire marshal will only allow wheelchairs in the ADA section. 

The Box Office hours for the presale are Monday through Thursday from Noon to 5:00 p.m ET. After the presale, you will still have access to the Box Office to assist you. They will be happy to return your call, if at any time, you cannot reach an associate. Please note that all ticket questions are best answered by Mohegan Sun/Ticketmaster Staff at the Box Office:  1-860-862-3629.

Candidate Preliminary Talent Rehearsal 
Candidate Rehearsal will be held the day of the Preliminaries  on Sunday, December 12 and Monday, December 13. Only those with the proper credentials (State, Friends & Family) will be admitted.

First Night of Preliminary Competition

Following Candidate Visitation, the Miss Connecticut Organization is inviting Miss America State Leadership for a fun time to reconnect.

Tuesday, December 14

Candidate Scholarship Judging
Watch as state titleholders compete in an interactive interview on stage for even more scholarship awards in areas of STEM, Business and other areas, recognizing their educational and career goals.

Parents Meeting 
Parents of the state titleholders will hear about the job duties and expectations of the next Miss America.

Miss America 100th Anniversary Party 
It’s time to kick back and gather with old friends, make new ones and enjoy a celebratory evening of food, fun and games.  Whether bowling is right up your alley, Pac-Man is your game, or your karaoke skills rival The Voice, Game On is a venue that has something for everyone. This is a time to Celebrate 100 years of Miss America friends, families, candidates, volunteers and Forever Miss Americas!

Wednesday, December 15

Miss America Empower Academy

The Empower Academy is back for a one-day event taking place Wednesday during the 100 Years Celebration of the Miss America Competition at Mohegan Sun Resort in Connecticut!

The workshop created especially for teens and pre-teens will offer 7 hours of age-related expert classes from leading authorities in the fields of leadership, social impact, television, and business. Empower Academy also includes admittance for the participant to the VIP Miss America Breakfast 100 Years Celebration Thursday, December 16th, an official pin, t-shirt, goodie bag, and more!

Teen Advocates – (ages 13-19) – Take your Social Impact Cause to the next level.  Learn interview techniques, media training, how to promote your personal brand and your social cause, and earn scholarships!  This is an exceptional opportunity for current State and Local MAOTeen Titleholders, anyone seeking the opportunity to compete in the MAOTeen local and state competitions, or anyone interested in developing important leadership skills.

Pre-Teen Ambassadors – (ages 6-12) – Learn how to develop a social cause, stage presence, spend time with Camille Schrier Miss America 2020 and Marcelle LeBlanc Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2022 and take part in a Talent Show on the Miss America Competition Preliminary Stage!

Miss America Fans Talent Show
Can you sing?  Do you dance? Is magic your trick? Talent isn’t limited to just our 51 amazing Candidates.  Show us your stuff at the Miss America Talent Show where you will perform on the Miss America prelim stage!  All ages and talents welcome!

Miss America Sorority Event – Former State Titleholders Gathering (open to State EDs and Former State Titleholders only)
This will be a gathering of all former state titleholders to reconnect about their time at Miss America and how it opened doors for opportunities in education and careers and share their Miss America memories.  In honor of Lenora Slaughter who created the sorority and scholarships for Miss America candidates!
Entry fee: Badge Credential

Celebrate Miss America Show
Join Miss America Camille Schrier and our forever Miss Americas for a lively evening of music and holiday cheer.  Celebrate the class of 2022 and be on hand for the announcement of scholarship winners from the Scholarship Competition held earlier in the week.

Thursday, December 16

100th Anniversary Miss America Breakfast
Gather with Forevers and friends and volunteers as The Miss America Organization celebrates our 100th Anniversary finale with a very special breakfast honoring the women who have worn the crown of Miss America since 1921 and enjoy historical highlights throughout the 100 years of The Miss America Organization.  Proceeds to benefit Miss America Scholarships.

Forever Miss America Autograph Signing
Continue this exciting morning with the opportunity to meet many Forever Miss Americas and add their autographs  to your collection. This event is a MUST for all Miss America fans.

Red Carpet Event
Watch as candidates, celebrities, Forever Miss Americas and judges walk the red carpet as they enter into the Arena prior to the Final Night Pre-Show and Competition!

Pre-Show starts at 7pm with live competition at 8pm.  You must be in your seats by 7:45pm as doors will be closed until first TV break.

Join us at the official MAO AfterParty, where guests will be introduced to the newly-crowned 100th Anniversary Miss America and her runners up.  Celebrate with music and dancing as we cap off a week of extraordinary competition and memories!
