100th MISS AMERICA COMPETITION TO AIR ON PEACOCK DEC. 16!
Good morning friends, fans, volunteers, and members of the press!
We wanted to share some great news regarding the upcoming 100th Anniversary Miss America Competition. This morning, Peacock and The Miss America Organization announced that this year’s historic event will air live on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 8PM ET from the award-winning 10,000 seat Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
This year’s competition will return with a new and enhanced format allowing audiences to stream the event live across ALL time zones for the first time ever – so our wonderful supporters on the West Coast will be able to tune in at the same time as our good friends on the East Coast and find out who the 100th Anniversary Miss America winner is together in real time! The night will feature the Forever Miss Americas pre-show at 7PM ET followed by Peacock’s live competition show at 8PM ET.
Jeff Hamilton, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun, had this to say about Miss America’s return: “Mohegan Sun can’t wait for mid-December to arrive when once again our beautiful resort and casino will host so many incredible and impactful women vying to be Miss America 2022. The excitement and energy reverberated all throughout Mohegan Sun for the 99th Miss America Competition, and we expect this upcoming 100th Anniversary Competition to do that and more, once again. We’re really looking forward to working with our friends with the Miss America Organization and Peacock for a great week of events, beginning on December 12th.”
Our partnerships with Mohegan Sun and Peacock allow us to enter the streaming world this year and provide a modern platform for us to introduce 51 outstanding individuals to a younger, broader audience. The show will highlight their unique personal stories, while featuring them as role models and community leaders of tomorrow.

Also, prior to the finals on the 16th, the two nights of preliminary competitions will be available to be streamed on WatchMissAmerica.com Sunday, December 12 and Monday, December 13 at 7pm ET. The prelims will take place in Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo Center.
