New Jersey, Michigan and Georgia Win Preliminary Awards at the First Night of the Miss America 2020 Competition
Both Nights of Preliminaries Live-Streamed for the First Time
Uncasville, CT (December 16, 2019) – On Monday, December 15, the first of two preliminary nights for the Miss America 2020 Competition, took place in the Mohegan Sun Earth Expo & Convention Center. For the first time in Miss America history, the Miss America 2020 Competition first night of Preliminaries was live-streamed. The live stream was produced by JC Productions and was sponsored by Dakota State University.
First night preliminary winners are:
Jade Glab
Jade Glab, representing New Jersey, was named the on-stage interview winner from preliminary night one and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. (Shown with Host Miss America 1977, Dorothy Benham.)
Mallory Rivard
Mallory Rivard, representing Michigan, was named the overall interview winner from preliminary night one and was awarded a $1,500 scholarship.
Victoria Hill
Victoria Hill, representing Georgia, was named the overall talent winner for preliminary night one and was awarded a $2,000 scholarship.
